Angela Donkor, a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2012, has received the ‘Spirit of Taylor Michaels’ Award at the 2011 Leadership Conference held by the Magic Johnson Foundation (MJF).
As a recipient of the MJF Taylor Michaels Scholarship, named for the chief operating officer for Magic Johnson Enterprises who passed away in 1998, “Ms. Donkor sets a tremendous standard for both younger and older Scholars,” according to Kadar Lewis, manager of the scholarship program. “She leads by example, and tirelessly contributes to the betterment of those around her.”
Donkor also was one of the inaugural winners of MJF’s Rishwain Scholarship, endowed by benefactor Brian Rishwain to annually acknowledge two students who display exceptional commitment to academic and extracurricular activities.
